What are email prompt templates?

Unlike the email sequencing tools you might be used to, Aomni email sequences do not use generic fill-in-the-blanks templates. Instead, Aomni sequences are customized for each recipient according to prompts provided by the user and information that our platform has found about that prospect.

By using Aomni’s prompt templates, you can customize sequences to each specific prospect, while still maintaining consistent structure and tone of voice.

How do email prompt templates work?

Every time you generate an email sequence for a contact, you’ll need to select a prompt template to use. We provide a few default templates to get you started, but highly recommend that you craft your own.

Note: Your Aomni AI agent has access to your training materials and account research. You can ask the AI to reference these facts in your prompts.

Email templates are composed two sections, Directions for AI and Example Emails, which can be customized for every email in a sequence.

Section 1: Directions for AI

Enter a prompt describing the email you want the AI to write. Your prompt should describe the content, tone and length of the email. The more specific and descriptive you can be, the better the output will be.

Section 2: Example emails or snippets

This section allows you to use modern prompting techniques to generate even better emails. Simply provide an example of an email with indicators for where the AI should follow your example and where it should get creative. Since this is an LLM prompt, you can put anything in the example template that you want (see the example above) and Aomni is smart enough to fill in the blanks.

How to write great email prompts

  • Use clear language to convey your requirements

  • Specify desired length (e.g., word count, number of paragraphs)
  • Indicate preferred style (e.g., formal, casual, persuasive)
  • Mention any formatting requirements (e.g., bullet points, headings)
• Write Clear, Structured Instructions
  • Break down complex tasks into smaller, manageable steps
  • Use numbered or bulleted lists for multi-step instructions
  • Consider using examples to illustrate your points
• Explain What Not to Do
  • Be explicit about content, tone, or approaches to avoid
  • Mention any sensitive topics or information to exclude
• Request Revisions and Iterations
  • Ask the AI to review and critique its own response
  • Encourage the AI to suggest improvements or alternatives
